Friends of Belton School - FOBS
Introduction:
FOBS are a friendly group of parents who donate a small amount of our time to fund raise for the school. We all have children at Belton All Saints, some of us work full time, some part time and others are stay at home parents.
Our main aim is to use the funds raised to enhance the experiences of every child in the school, from improving playground facilities to extending the range and access pupils have to excellent reading/maths materials and supporting activities that enhance children experiences.
Social events for families, children & adults are held throughout the year and money raised so far has provided a whole variety of items, such as a trim trail, play equipment, maths resources and the stage, which is used for school productions, as well as contributing to the cost of school trips. We also present a nursery rhyme book to each child as a welcome gift as they join our nursery and a calculator to each Y6 leaver when they leave for pastures new.
FoBs help towards the cost of trips and visits out and about.
All parents are automatically members of the “Friends”. This Association is primarily concerned with fund raising and social events to assist in the provision of additional school resources and educational aids. We have an elected Committee but are always on the lookout for more volunteers when an event is being organised.

It is hoped that parents of children new to the school and parents of existing pupils will continue to support FoBs events to ensure the future success of the Association and the provision of 'extras' for the school.
What type of events/activities do we do?
In the past couple of years we have organised the following events:
Belton Ball – Adults entertainment evening
Movie nights
Christmas Fair
Bags 2 School
Easter Bingo
Summer Fair
End of year Discos
Raising much needed funds at the annual Summer Fayre
Being part of the committee is not a huge commitment and it is very rewarding as well as a great way to meet other parents and have fun being involved in our fundraising events.
We always welcome new faces at our meetings so come along and join us for a cup of tea at the next meeting.
