School Meals

At lunchtime pupils can either choose to take a hot school meal or bring their own packed lunch.

Hot meals are cooked on site with the kitchen currently providing around 120 pupils and adult meals. Menus are designed to provide a balanced and healthy diet and we work closely with the school meal provider and Mrs Hoystead, our cook, to ensure that the menus also reflect pupils' tastes. Special dietry needs can be catered for and parents are encouraged to discuss their child's needs with the kitchen staff who can be contacted through the school office.

School meals currently cost £10.50 per week payable at the beginning of the week or should you prefer on a half termly basis. School meals can be paid for in three ways

Over the phone on 01724 297907 (between 8.00 - 10.30am)

Online at www.northlincs.gov.uk/schoolmeals

By cheque, handed into school, payable to North Lincolnshire Council,

Pupils choosing to bring a packed lunch are encouraged to make healthy choices, sweets, fizzy drinks and other sugary items are discouraged.

Free School Meals

All pupils in the Reception Class and KS1 are now entitled to free healthy hot school meals and will have access to a choice of main dishes each day. However it is still important to apply for Free School Meal grants if you believe you are eligible. This will entitle you to additional clothing benefits and the school will also receive Pupil Premium Funding to support your child’s learning

How does it work:-

  1. First check if you qualify – it is not just if you are unemployed so please look at the list below.
  2. Registering is really quick and easy – if you think you qualify contact the school office or visit the Local Link Office at Epworth Library, Crowle Community Resource Centre or Church Square House in Scunthorpe. Or alternatively go on to the North Lincolnshire Council website and click on the option on the right hand side 'do it on line' and click 'free school meals'.

Registering is completely confidential and it will not affect any other benefits you are claiming.

Do you qualify?

You can register your child for Free School Meals if you receive any of the following:-
